How to search and book on StayLens
StayLens is a lens, not a shop: we search the lodging market, rank it around the place you came for, and hand you off to book wherever suits you best. Here's the whole flow.
1. Say the trip in one sentence
Type it the way you'd tell a friend: “clean homestay near Gateway of India, 2 nights next weekend, 2 adults, under ₹6,000 a night”. Where, when, who, what matters — in any order, in your own words. StayLens turns that into dates, party size, budget, and most importantly your anchor: the place distances are measured to. Whatever we had to assume (which weekend? how many rooms?) is shown so you can correct it.
2. Read the map, not just the list
Every stay appears as a price pill around your anchor — the red marker. Each card shows the real distance and walking time to it, the total price for your whole stay (with tax status), the guest rating on its native scale, and the hygiene read. If you asked for a kind of place — “near good cafés” — the cafés themselves appear as amber markers: tap one and the ranking re-forms around it instantly.
3. Refine like a conversation
The search is a chat. “Cheaper.” “Closer to the fort.” “Only homestays.” “Something quieter.” Each message refines the previous search rather than starting over.
4. Check the evidence
Open any stay for the review summary: what guests praise, what they complain about, and the hygiene verdict backed by verbatim quotes. This is where you sign in — it also saves your searches, conversations, and wishlist, and everything you did before signing up comes along.
5. Book where it suits you
StayLens takes no payment and holds no inventory. When you've chosen, one click hands you to the property's own website or the provider listing it, with your dates carried over — so the price you confirm is the price you saw. Save stays to your wishlist first and group them into plans; if a saved stay's price moves before your dates, we'll tell you.
That's the product: one honest search, an anchored map, evidence-backed verdicts, and a hand-off. Free to search, always.
