About StayLens
Why we exist
Every stay you might book already exists somewhere — on a booking site, on a map, on the hotel's own website. What doesn't exist is one place that understands a plain-language request, searches the market at once, and tells you which stay is actually right: how far it really is from the thing you came for, whether it's clean, what recent guests complained about.
StayLens is that missing layer — a lens, not a shop. We hold no inventory and take no payment. We search, compare, and summarize; then we hand you off to book wherever suits you best, whether that's the property's own website or a provider you already have an account with.
What we promise
- Search is free and anonymous. You need an account only to save things and book — and everything you did before signing up comes with you.
- Evidence, not vibes. Our review summaries quote real guests verbatim, and every quote is checked against the review it came from. If reviews say nothing about cleanliness, we say exactly that — we never invent a score.
- No steering. Results are ranked by distance, price, rating, and hygiene — never by who pays us more. When a price is an estimate rather than a bookable rate, it's labelled as one.
- Honest prices. The number you see is the total for your whole stay, and we tell you whether taxes are in it.
Where the data comes from
Live, bookable hotel prices and guest reviews come from licensed travel supply. Each result says where it came from, ratings are always shown on their native scale, and where a provider doesn't share prices we link you to it rather than guessing. Some sources don't permit their content to be stored or summarized — we honour that, which is why a few results show less detail than others.
Where this is going
Lodging is the first chapter. The goal is a single intelligent layer over the whole trip — stays first, because they're the highest-stakes, worst-searched part of travelling. More providers, more markets, and more of the trip are on the roadmap.
